The Revel Inn

Updated: Jul 28, 2025

The Revel Inn is the festival bar that is run by volunteers, with all proceeds going towards the festival's good causes. Over the years this has evolved from a gazebo and a couple of tables, to a custom made bar complete with all the racking and piping you'd expect for a perfect pint.

Wherever possible, the Revel Inn at Dorsetfest tries to source locally produced drinks to support and encourage artisan craft industries.

Here's a line up of some of the drinks available:

Dorsetfest Ales:

Cerne Abbas Brewery craft beers: We will have a number of Dorsetfest favourites back in casks for a true outdoor pub taste. These include:

  • Cerne Abbas flagship Ale - a well balanced and triple hopped darker tawny ale with a fuller mouth feel due to extra time conditioning (3.8%)

  • Blonde - brewed with low colour barley and is described as “more hoppy than a man with one leg on a scorching sandy beach with no flip-flop.” (4.2%)

  • Leggless Jester - a single hopped beer with new British hop variety Jester and is described as fruity but not citrussy, well rounded and deceptively easy to drink. (4.7%)

  • Big Lubelski - brewed with the Lubelski hop which is native to Poland, with malt that is a 50/50 mix between Bamberg and Cerne Abbas. This inspired mix of ingredients really ties this beverage together man. (3.9%)

This year we'll be introducing Ansty Brewmog craft beer. This is a vegan and gluten free option brewed locally. Just ask for a "Brewmog" at the bar

Dorsetfest Lager:

We will have the usual Dorset lager from Cerne Abbas Brewery, which is a great thirst quencher and is making its fourth appearance at the festival.

Dorsetfest Cider:

For the cider lovers we'll be serving Westons draught cider which is returning for the second year due to popular demand.

To widen the offering, we will be introducing "Twisted Cider". This is a flat Dorset cider that is made by "Twisting" up to 16 cider apple varieties on their farm to create the perfect pint. These ciders are made without the use of concentrates and artificial sweeteners, making them suitable for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free drinkers.

Alongside this will be a great selection of bottled fruit ciders.

Dorsetfest Spirits:

We will continue to sell a range of Dorset gins, including Conker Gin and Shroton Fair Gin, with a choice of tonics or lemonade.

For the vodka lovers, the bar will be serving Dorset Black Cow vodka. Based on a farm in the heart of West Dorset, Black Cow vodka is the world’s first Pure Milk Vodka using the milk from grass-grazed cows. As a Trustpilot review states, "Who knew that 1. You could make vodka from milk and 2. that it would taste so good!"

Alternatively, it's always Pimm's O'Clock somewhere, with Pimms available by the glass or the jug.

Shots from Jaeger Bombs to Tequila will also be available.

Dorsetfest Wine:

For the more sophisticated palate, there will be a tent dedicated to serving Langham's award winning Dorset sparkling wines. These are delightful single vineyard, English sparkling wines with an individual character.

Langham wines only use the ‘Traditional Method’, utilising a second, in bottle fermentation, to produce the sparkle. Each bottle is then aged on yeast lees for a minimum of 14 months before being disgorged and aged further under cork.

Their wines are all vegetarian or vegan.

Dorsetfest Low Alcohol and Alcohol Free:

At Dorsetfest we recognise that not everyone wants to drink, so on top of the traditional soft drinks, the Revel Inn will also stock a range of alcohol free and low alcohol drinks.

These will include Zereneannabis an alcohol free bottled ale and Thatchers Zero, alongside some low alcohol fruit ciders.

There will also be coffee from Coffee To Go Go, a micro van travelling who supply a range of coffees and tea to start your day or reenergise in the Fodder Field alongside.

On The Day

To reduce waste we will only be offering drinks in reusable glasses, you will be charged once for this and then get to keep it as a souvenir of your wonderful time.

Payment by credit card, but we'd recommend you bring some cash in case of issues with the wifi.

The bar will also be operating "Challenge 25" so if you're lucky enough to look under 25, please remember to bring suitable id.

We look forward to seeing you there!
